Dave is an American Board Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist and received his degree from BCIT in Vancouver Canada. Dave moved from Vancouver Island to Colorado Springs Colorado in 2003 and has since been serving patient’s in Denver and Colorado Springs.

Dave works with pediatric and geriatric populations and has supported athletes from the Wounded Warriors and Paralympic Athletes in Colorado Springs.

Dave has a background in prosthetic fabrication and often designs items in house for better customization and quicker more controlled turn over.

Board Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist
Matthew Harris is a Board Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist and has been practicing since 2014. He attended The University of Toledo and obtained a degree in Biomechanical Engineering in 2010. In 2012, he received a Masters of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics from The University Of Pittsburgh.

Matt began his career at Hanger Prosthetics in Greeley, Colorado as a technician for a year. He then joined Certified Orthopedics in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he completed his training and residency. When his wife was transferred from FE Warren Missile Base in Wyoming to Schriever AFB in Colorado Springs in 2016 he joined Horizon Prosthetics.

Matt Specializes in Adult Orthotics as well as the utilization of microprocessor ankle technology and hydraulic ankle technology in lower limb prosthetics.

Matt is married to his wife Captain Tracey Harris of the USAF. They have a horse, cat, and service dog, Hank, who joins Matt at Horizon every day.

Matt is a horseback rider, hunter, and member of Magnum Shooting Supply gun range.

Education: B.S. in Biology at Colorado State University; B.S. in Prosthetics and Orthotics at University of Washington

Matt works out of Horizon’s Englewood location and has been servicing the Denver Metro area with the highest level of care for over 10 years. He takes pride in thoroughly evaluating and listening to his patient’s needs in order to get them back to the life they want to lead. He services patients of all ages and specializes in spinal trauma, pediatric prosthetics/orthotics as well as advanced lower extremity prosthetic and orthotic solutions.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife and two young children.

Cory is a Certified Orthotic Fitter and holds his certificate from the Board of Certification/Accreditation. Prior to working with Horizon Prosthetics, he was a student in Fort Collins, CO studying exercise science.

Cory began his career in the field of orthotics and durable medical equipment in 2012. He has since worked with dozens of orthopedic and physical therapy clinics in Colorado to help implement bracing and orthoses in treatment plans for patients of all backgrounds.

Outside of work, Cory is an avid weightlifter and food enthusiast. He has competed in both Strongman and Powerlifting competitions and would like to someday return to competing.

Brandon McElhinney, COF, CPED

Brandon has been in the O&P industry for 14 years. He received is Orthotic Fitter Certification in 2011 and his Pedorthist Certification in 2018. He fits off-the-shelf bracing, shoes, custom foot Orthotics.

Brandon worked at the Denver VA prosthetics walk-in clinic for eight years and has served over three thousand VA patients in both Denver and Colorado Springs.

Brandon was diagnosed with cancer as a teen in 1997 and can relate to many patients first hand regarding their struggles and working through the difficulties of rehabilitation and getting back to an enjoyable way of life.

Brandon enjoys the outdoors including skiing, hiking, camping, horseback riding, riding his motorcycle, and piloting fixed-wing, and rotary aircraft. He is a proud father 1 year old son who keeps him on his toes.

Kevin Hickey, CPO

American Board Certified Certified Prosthetist & Orthotist

Kevin earned a master’s degree in orthotics and prosthetics from Eastern Michigan University in 2011 and is an ABC certified prosthetist and orthotist. After completion of his orthotic residency at the University of Michigan Orthotics and Prosthetics Center he moved back to Colorado where he completed his prosthetic residency.

Kevin has experience in lower extremity orthotics, spinal bracing, pediatric care including scoliosis bracing, lower extremity bracing and cranial remolding orthoses. He also has experience with burn management, functional electrical stimulation in treatment of foot drop and prosthetic experience including elevated vacuum systems and microprocessor knees.

Kevin grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison for undergraduate studies. Kevin and his wife enjoy skiing, hiking, camping and any excuse to spend time in the mountains with their two young girls.

Deanna is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Colorado and has been practicing for 5 years. She has practiced in an outpatient clinic, CACC, and at a pediatric home health agency, First Steps Pediatric. She has continued education in Manual Muscle Techniques and Kinesiology taping. She is now working as an Orthotic Fitter. She has experience working with a large scope of patients and has a desire to help people better their daily lives. She loves to work out, hike, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.

Jordan Pittman, CPOA

American Board Certified Certified Prosthetic Assistant

Jordan graduated from the University of British Columbia Okanagan with her Bachelors of Human Kinetics in 2015, and began a clinical prosthetic and orthotic education in the spring of 2017. She has since passed her prosthetic assistant exam and will challenge the orthotic assistant exam in the summer of 2019.

Clinically, Jordan has a special interest in pediatrics and sports prosthetics. While in university, she served as the student athletic trainer for the varsity rugby program, and she spent the past winter volunteering with the ski program at the National Sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park.

After work, Jordan loves to spend time outside; snowboarding in the winter and rock climbing in the summer!
